Kids Yoga, Mindfulness & Nature Camp

Yoga and Mindfulness is the best way for kids to stretch, release stress,  develop body & breath awareness. We Feel nature is the perfect environment for kids to experience yoga & mindfulness.


July 22-26

Monday – Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Age/Grade: Ages 8-12

Daily activities: Pre-Camp drop off 8:45 am, open circle, yoga time 1, story time, nature art, sack lunch, mindfulness exercises, yoga time 2, games, art crafts, music, snack, clean up, and pick up 3:00-3:15pm.

Campers must provide their own back-pack with lunch, one snack, water, sunscreen, close-toed shoes, and sandals. Yoga mats optional.


Ryan Marvelli: BA, 500 RYT


Teacher – Ryan Marvelli, BA Liberal studies Iowa State University 1999, Yoga Teacher since 2016: 500 RYT & Teaching Kids Yoga since Spring 2017 at the Shining Mountain Waldorf school part-time.

Introduced to yoga at the young age of 18 in 1994 and practicing on and off over 25 years. Yoga has been such a huge support in my health & overall lifestyle. Helping me to focus my attention with ADHD, Dyslexia, and Sensory processing disorder. Modifying poses to fit my body, style & range of motion. It improves breath awareness which has lead me to more mindfulness in my life. And then discovering how kids could really benefit from this practice, awareness & helping to overcome other health challenges as it definitely helped me through mine.

I’m so happy that Teri will be my co-teacher this summer and brings her own unique experience with yoga, mindfulness & kids.

Teri Jacobson: MA, CYI


Co-teacher Teri Jacobson MA, CYI, graduated from Regis University, Denver in 1999 and became a Certified Yoga Instructor in 2011.

As a Child and Family Counselor, I have worked with kids and parents for 20 years. During this time, I began to recognize stress as an underlying theme for the children coming to my practice. My own Yoga journey has helped me to be calm and still when my world is chaotic. I began to wonder, how could I bring these tools to the children? I started seeing positive results as I integrated Yoga into my private practice and the classes I taught to kids and teens.

Together with Ryan, I look forward to using my skills and experience teaching at the Summer Kids Yoga, Mindfulness and Nature Camp, July 2019.
